Tumble dryer repairs at home in Keighley and the villages around
Dryer not heating, drum not turning or taking forever to dry? Our engineers come to your home to repair condenser, vented and heat pump tumble dryers.
Faults we fix
These are the dryer faults we see most. Slow drying in particular often has a simple cause, so check the basics first.
- No heat
- The drum turns but the clothes stay cold. Usually a failed heating element, thermostat or thermal fuse.
- Drum won’t turn
- You can hear the motor but the drum doesn’t move. Almost always a snapped drive belt.
- Slow drying
- Clothes still damp after a full cycle. Often a clogged fluff filter, a blocked condenser or a squashed vent hose.Worth checking first: Clean the fluff filter in the door, rinse the condenser unit if your dryer has one, and make sure the vent hose isn’t kinked.
- Squealing or noisy
- A worn belt, drum rollers or bearings. Best looked at early, before it does more damage.
- Won’t start
- Nothing happens when you press start. Often a faulty door switch, a blown fuse or a timer fault.
- Water tank light
- On a condenser dryer, a light that stays on after emptying the tank usually means a blocked pump or a faulty float switch.
